Rumor has it that season 13 will see a possible relationship between Meredith and Alex. This is going to land Alex in a legal trouble and chances are that he might even be dismissed from Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.

"It felt like it was time to tell Jo's story, and it felt like it was time to tell Jo's story especially in the context of Alex, who he is and how he grew up". This season, the story will revolve around the original characters, including Meredith and Alex, played by Ellen Pompeo and Justin Chamber. "That has some serious repercussions ... in the relationship between the doctors in the hospital, having to reckon with the notion that one of their own could have been so violent".

"Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 may see a turning point in Meredith's relationship with Alex as she chooses to protect him against the consequences of what he had done. She also adds that there is something attractive about their friendship. It's obvious that Alex is already struggling with major trust issues after Jo dropped her bombshell, targeting DeLuca because he believed he and Jo were hooking up.

The promo video begins with a flashback of Alex punching DeLuca in the Season 12 finale. Luckily we don't have to wait too long to find out!

Most of the premiere will see the doctors trying to save DeLuca, whose life seems to be hanging by a thread. Due to the extent of his wounds, doctors will scramble to take care of him in the ER. Only time will tell.

"I watched that scene and I thought, 'Oh people are going to start shipping Meredith and Alex, because there's such a sense of comfort and nostalgia".

A fan inquired via Entertainment Weekly what will happen to DeLuca in season 13, and according to EW, he will not only live through the ordeal but also get a bigger storyline in the upcoming season. A new love interest is in the offing for the pediatric surgeon but Jo is not going to have a smooth run as her turbulent past will resurface in the next season, shedding light on the issue of "domestic violence" as a effect.

Grey's Anatomy will be back on our screens this Thursday! "But it does not reveal itself in that first episode".
