Tom Cruise Loves Watching Himself Beat People Up on the Big Screen

The final trailer for Jack Reacher Never Go Back was explosive and we promised a fast-paced movie.

Cruise, who has made himself this generation's ultimate action star, is ideal as Jack Reacher. Reacher gets a bit more serious about Turner months later when he pays a visit to her office in Washington D.C. Upon arriving, Reacher learns the lady has been arrested for treason.

As for the supporting roles, Danika Yarosh impresses as the resourceful teenager, but the film criminally wastes Prison Break's Robert Knepper as the chief villain. A lot of times you can get a damsel in distress kind of situation, and we were all working towards having the characters equally capable in each situation.

What makes an archetypal character like this fun to watch is an unpredictable story, where the audience and protagonist together uncover the mystery. In a recent interview, Cruise says he admires Jack Reacher for the way in which he makes every effort to live off the grid, distancing himself from the internet and social media. Zwick sees Jack Reacher as someone closely related to the hero of Akira Kurosawa's stories, Yojimbo.

Another welcome addition this time round is the addition of Cobie Smulders as Major Susan Turner, her character feels a fair amount different from her most well known role as Robin in How I Met Your Mother, but there are a few similarities that fans of hers will pick up on.

"When you're running and when you're doing multiple, multiple takes you're like for me I don't want to be the wuss". And, apparently, the 54 year old actor has yet to lose a step.

"Jack Reacher: Never Go Back", a Paramount Pictures release, is rated PG-13 by the Motion Picture Association of America for "sequences of violence and action, some bloody images, language and thematic elements". "Tom has wonderful stunt team, an incredible group of trainers", Smulders, 34, explained.

Working together in the film, "The Last Samurai", Zwick and Cruise have good working chemistry and Zwick is very excited for the showing of "Jack Reacher: Never Go Back".

Throwing on wigs, shades, and a variety of memorable outfits, Cruise effortlessly slipped back into character. "It's all out. Wherever I'm going it's all the way". "That defines me I think". This is the 18th novel in the best-selling Jack Reacher series that has sold more than 100 million books worldwide.

Unfortunately, Never Go Back pretty much does none of these things.
