Xiaomi Mi Note 2 leaked pictures reveal ultra-thin bezel

According to NDTV, Xiaomi is hosting an event at China's Peking University Gymnasium on october 25, hosted by Hong Kong-based actor Tony Leung. This will be the successor to the original Mi Note from January 2015, so it goes without saying that it's hotly anticipated.

We have been treated to a look at the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 and this could become the killer of the OnePlus 3 when the device arrives on the market. The smartphones released by Xiaomi before like the Mi 5, Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus were quite cheap enough when compared to the new expected Xiaomi Mi Note 2. As for the optics, there's a 16-megapixel rear camera with phase detection autofocus (PDAF), f/2.0 aperture, and LED flash.

The Mi Note 2 is expected to launch with two colour options - black and white. However, things changed with the Huawei P9 when it came in with a price tag that is no different from the likes of Samsung Galaxy S7 and LG G5, among others.

Additional leaks hint that the Mi Note 2 will have a 5.7-inch QHD screen, able to display 2,560 x 1,440 resolutions, with an Adreno 530 GPU to take care of the visuals.

A few leaks in the past also indicated that the smartphone will feature a dual-camera setup as seen on the Xiaomi Mi 5s. Rumors on Xiaomi Mi Note 2 specs, features, release dates and prices were seen in most of the reports on internet. The bottom chin where the navigation buttons are usually placed as well as the top part where the front camera and sensors are supposed to be located are missing, indicating that an edge-to-edge display will be one of the main features of Mi Note 2. The photos got more credibility as they show that the phone will be running on MIUI OS.

Is the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 truly the revolutionary model promised by the Chinese tech giant, or just an Apple iPhone 7 rip-off?

Like all other Xiaomi handsets, you will be able to expand the storage to up to a maximum 256GB.

Meanwhile, according to GSM Arena, Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will most likely run on a powerful Snapdragon 835 from Qualcomm; however due to the chipset's unavailability, experts are saying that Xiaomi use the Snapdragon 821 instead.
