Centennial alum Kessler makes debut for Browns vs. Dolphins

The Browns recovered and took a knee to run down the clock for Parkey's game-winning field goal.

It turned out to be a lot tougher than they bargained for but after an 0-2 start to the season, the Miami Dolphins found a much-needed win on Sunday afternoon as they knocked off the Cleveland Browns 30-24 in overtime at newly renovated Hard Rock Stadium.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Terrelle Pryor put up a heck of a performance in his team's overtime loss to the Miami Dolphins last week. All in all, a brutal game for James, who has the physical ability to bounce back.

This one was nearly decided in regulation.

Right tackle JaWuan James was pulled from the game after allowing a sack of Ryan Tannehill near the end of regulation that led to a fumble and was replaced by Billy Turner. You especially can't do it on a Sunday when the Browns couldn't win a game exclusively due to a street free agent kicker1 who missed three field goals in the close game, including what should have been the game-winner. Cleveland came into Miami starting their fifth quarterback in as many games. "I don't want to say it's stress, but at the same time, we are trying to work together and continue to communicate so we can grow as a young team".

Through three games, Pryor has 14 receptions for 244 yards. That's really the thing that I couldn't let go of as I sat thinking about the Browns loss. It's the type of throw that makes you wonder what Tannehill could be if, you know, he made those laser throws, with confidence, to a seemingly blanketed receiver, more consistently. Pryor was the complete package with 144 yards receiving, 35 yards passing and 21 yards rushing with a touchdown. But the play was nullified when Wake was called for offsides.

The bad news? The Dolphins other 5 drives totaled 78 yards and ended INT, Punt, Punt, "Pick 6" and an end-of-half rally that was blown by timeout/clock mismanagement.

Tannehill threw for 319 yards and three touchdowns for Miami, and Landry caught seven of those passes for 120 yards. His pressure forced five penalties on Browns offensive tackle Austin Pasztor, playing a critical role in Miami's first win of the season.

Former Hurricane Duke Johnson had 69 yards on 10 carries for the Browns in his homecoming. He also spent a play in the secondary, playing deep safety in case the Miami Dolphins tried a Hail Mary at the end of the first half. Not only has a win not come yet this season, but plenty expect that not many, if any, will come the rest of the year. The team fell behind early before turning it on in the second quarter, taking a 13-10 edge into halftime.

Arian Foster missed Sunday's game because of a groin injury. The Browns have started three quarterbacks in their three games, including rookie Cody Kessler against the Dolphins, and they could possibly start a fourth against Washington in Pryor. Murray's absence was felt when Parkey missed two field goal attempts, a 42-yarder in the third quarter and a 41-yarder in the first quarter.
