Watch out: iOS 10 install is reportedly bricking some iPhones
The users who are affected are those ho commonly downloaded the iOS 10 on the over-the-air update.
Apple Inc faced an embarrassing technical glitch after some customers reported difficulties updating their iPhone operating system to the latest software, which became available Tuesday.
If you are facing a similar problem, try upgrading your device via iTunes. Kwikset Kevo says users who upgrade to iOS 10 may lose some Touch-to-Open functionality. "The problem was quickly resolved and we apologize to those customers", an Apple spokesperson told The Verge.
Legere took to Twitter to announce that there was a network issue faced by many iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and iPhone SE users after installing iOS 10.
If you're a little late and your device has already been bricked, do not fret as the fix is quite a simple one. After coming to know about the problem, Apple tried examined the issue from its end and has fixed it.
The only other issue that we can see was actually how long the download was taking, although this is to always be expected on the day of a new release.
You see the Apple logo on your screen for several minutes with no progress bar. Before installing any new software update, it is always preferable to create a backup in orderto ensure that if anything goes wrong during the installation process, you will not lose any of your saved data. This is quite unusual when it comes to any software update from Apple. Press and hold the sleep/wake button and the home button simultaneously.
LinkedIn is now integrated with Siri on iOS 10 devices.
Apple has also recommended using AppleCare directly, or you can head over to an Apple Store if you don't have access to a Mac or PC.
