The comedian initially didn't recognize Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner when she spotted the two dining together on Wednesday.

We would have given our right arm - or any other appendage for that matter - to be at Nobu 57 restaurant Wednesday night in New York City when Rosie O'Donnell ran into the daughter of her archnemesis, Donald Trump.

Actress Rosie O'Donnell has written a poem about meeting Ivanka Trump by chance and managing to reconcile their differences.

"Hillary is hitting me with tremendous commercials", Trump said.

Fast-forward to summer 2015. Late last month, he defended his controversial remarks during his first presidential debate with Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.

The two have been in a public feud since 2006 when O'Donnell initially called Trump out on "The View".

The day after running into Ms Trump at prestigious restaurant Nobu in Manhattan, Ms O'Donnell uploaded the poem to her website.

It concludes, "i wrote a book once about bashert the concept of meant to be.it has comforted me on my darkest days when my inner voices scream u deserved it.as her father has same as my own".

Ivanka Trump, a mother of three, has not commented on any encounters with O'Donnell. It's inappropriate. It's not nice.' She's spent hundreds of millions of dollars on negative ads on me, many of which are absolutely untrue ...

Rosie, in turn, has called Trump an "orange anus" who "will never be president".

O'Donnell's name came up during the first presidential debate in NY, when Hillary Clinton charged, "This is a man who has called women pigs, slobs and dogs".

"Donald Trump understands the needs for a modern work force".
