Samsung Announces Quick Solution For Galaxy Note 7 Users To Not Explode

Few customers complained Galaxy Note 7 units are bought from Samsung's US Website are not being replaced and they are eligible for the refund only.

Samsung has postponed the resumption of sales of its Galaxy Note 7, which was scheduled to begin on September 28.

The numbers in Europe are slightly lower than elsewhere.

Following a nation-wide recall in South Korea of Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 smartphones due to a wave of overheating and exploding devices, the company announced on Sunday that the relaunch date was pushed back to October 1st to complete the recall.

This means, processing of defective Galaxy Note 7 beyond the said date will be hard so device owners are urged to have their units replaced at the soonest time possible. Stores in the country can earn another 20,000 won per phone if they manage to exchange more than 80 percent of the Note 7 devices previously sold before the end of September, the Korea Times reports.

Sources today said the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is mulling roping in technical experts from outside to help it in conducting probe into the fire incident involving Galaxy Note 2.

The company launched the Programme following 35 reports worldwide of the Note7 catching fire. This means that the recall process is slower than the other markets like Singapore and the United States. Last week, it was reported that although Samsung had started sending out the replacement devices, these devices were unable to be charged past 10%.

Samsung Europe said the rapid response to the company's exchange offer, which only started early last week in the region, gave the company confidence it can move to re-start sales of new models in key European markets by October 28.

According to the company, some 200,000 customers have already returned their devices in South Korea, with the same number of people still left for the recall. Several airlines including Emirates, Qantas, Virgin Australia American, Delta, Air France, Virgin America and Virgin Atlantic have issued advisories related to the use of Galaxy Note 7 inside airplanes.
