911 transcript: Club gunman said US must stop Syria bombing

Police released the more comprehensive transcript of the conversation between Mateen and the negotiator.

For the first time, a 911 call placed from inside the Pulse nightclub shooting during the June 12 shooting has been made public.

In the calls Mateen pledges allegiance to the Syria-based terror group ISIS and says he "feel [s] the pain of the people getting killed in Syria and Iraq and all over the Muslim..." but doesn't finish the sentence.

The 911 call was among more than 20 released Wednesday by the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

City officials released about five dozen files of calls made to police and more than six dozen files of calls to the fire department after fighting media companies for three months over the release of the records.

"They are killing a lot of innocent people", said Mateen, a New York-born son of an Afghan immigrant. It begins with Mateen telling the negotiator he was "speaking to the person who pledged allegiance to the Islamic State".

In one call to 911, a man said he was hiding "in a back room" and was not injured, according to the Orlando Sentinel. "Your people are going to get it and I'm going to ignite it if they try to do anything stupid".

Mateen then interrupted: "You need to stop the USA air strikes".

Mateen compared himself to other terrorists behind United States attacks, saying: "My homeboy Tamerlan Tsarnaev did his thing on the Boston Marathon".

Mateen: You're annoying me with these phone calls and I don't really appreciate it. "My homeboy (unidentified name) did his thing, OK, so now it's my turn, OK?"

Mateen: My name is Islamic soldier, okay?

Negotiator: The air strikes need to stop.

In their last conversation at 3:25 a.m., the negotiator tells Mateen to come outside without any weapons, but Mateen doesn't reply. Mateen's statement ended up being false, but police officers took the threat seriously at the time.
