Clinton campaign says Trump could have "low bar" at debate

Clinton campaign says Trump could have

Speaking at an energy conference in Pittsburgh, the Republican nominee for president said: "if you're not aware, drugs are a very, very big factor in what you're watching on television".

He is contrasting that with Democratic rival Hillary Clinton, who has advocated a move away from dirty fossil fuels.

"I'm going to be very respectful of her", he said.

Trump's meeting came after street demonstrations continued into the early hours of Wednesday in Charlotte, North Carolina.

In an interview Thursday morning on "Fox and Friends", Trump said he would "stay cool" in the debate. The same kind of questions are being probed in the case of Dahir Aden, the 22-year-old who went on a stabbing rampage in a St. Cloud shopping mall before he was killed by an off-duty police officer.

He said: "This is a national crisis".

One outstanding question is how many Hispanics will turn out to vote.

The five-minute interview with comedian Zack Galifianakis appeared on the amusing or Die website Thursday.

Ever since Clinton uttered the phrase "basket of deplorables", Trump's most ardent supporters have tried to offer addenda to the claim: That they are "hard-working Americans".

Republican strategists, on the other hand, say Clinton is just a flawed candidate.

"After all, if there is one thing the Clintons are known for, it is that there is no line they won't cross and no corner they won't cut in order to earn a quick buck", Miller said. Dafna Skolnik wore a homemade hat in support of Clinton. Galifianakis replied: "Or maybe a white power tie".

The TV audience for the debate is expected to be a record, easily surpassing the record 46.2 million households who watched the first encounter between President Barack Obama and Republican Mitt Romney in 2012, according to the Nielsen ratings company.

Donald Trump says debate moderator Lester Holt shouldn't try to fact-check the candidates at next week's presidential debate.

Seventy percent now say they approve of the job he's doing as president; 24 percent disapprove. "Remember, friends don't let friends vote for Trump". He says the candidates should "argue it out".

After a recent forum on NBC, host Matt Lauer received criticism in some circles for being too easy on Trump.

On a conference call with supporters this afternoon, a top aide to Clinton directly asked supporters to use social media during and after the debate at Hofstra University in NY to help shape the conversation positively around the Democratic nominee. In Texas's primary election, only 27 percent of Republicans supported Trump. "But a lot of people around him are concerned that won't translate quite as well in a general election debate".

At the end of the OH church event organized by members of his diversity coalition, Trump was asked about recent high-profile police shootings in Oklahoma and North Carolina.

"Trump introduced what appeared to be an attempt at a college affordability proposal, which is ironic coming from the man behind the student-swindling Trump University and Trump Institute", said a statement from the group.

To outline and explain these dangers I asked a group of conservative leaders to share with me their assessment of what a Hillary Clinton presidency would mean to those Americans who hold traditional Judeo-Christian values and who believe in American exceptionalism.

He repeated his support for "stop-and-frisk,"a tactic which allows police to stop and search anyone they deem suspicious".
