Mourinho urges Pogba to forget price tag

Pogba moved to Old Trafford from Juventus for a record fee this summer, but despite making an impressive debut has so far yet to live up to his hefty price tag as manager Jose Mourinho tries to find the best position for the France global.
After back-to-back defeats to Manchester City and Feyenoord, the 23-year-old has been criticised, but the United boss has every confidence Pogba will bounce back.
"I really think he's trying to do too much on the ball". "I prefer to be four in front than four behind, that's obvious, but as you are saying it's very early days".
That's caused debate around whether Paul Pogba can play in a two-man midfield or whether the discipline needed to play in a defensive midfield role stunts his attacking ability too much. That's not the player Man United bought, they didn't buy a Lionel Messi to beat five players and stick it in the corner all the time.
"I would like to see Michael Carrick with him".
"You have to remember he came from a brilliant team at Juventus".
"It depends on the situation", Mourinho said on Pogba's position.
His passing was wayward, his shooting worse and he was easily the worst of Manchester United's midfield trio tonight, behind the impressive Morgan Schneiderlin and combative Ander Herrera. "It is normal after the first game he has a little decrease".
Speaking about Pogba's recent form, the former England worldwide thinks that "he's not the greatest controller of a football game".
"I know he's happy with his four players [signed in the transfer window] but I still think they need that type of player".
"He can play where he was playing before in the Premier League, he can play where he did [against Feyenoord], there's not a problem with his position", added the Portuguese.
Relative to their latest turnover figure of £102.4m, Crystal Palace's £27m purchase of Christian Benteke last month cost more than United spent to sign Pogba, given this week they confirmed annual revenue of £513m.
