Hillary Clinton Releases Letter From Her Doctor About Her Health

A statement from her campaign said the Democratic presidential nominee, 68, "continues to improve" after she was diagnosed with pneunomia, BBC News reports.

Bardack said that Clinton had an ear infection in January and is taking medication for hypothyroidism, along with Coumadin, a blood thinner.

After a video emerged Sunday of her collapsing as she entered a Secret Service vehicle and being held up by aides, the campaign revealed she had been diagnosed with pneumonia days earlier.

Dr Lisa Bardack added that Mrs Clinton was "recovering well with antibiotics and rest" after becoming overheated, dehydrated and feeling dizzy during a 9/11 memorial ceremony in NY on Sunday.

But when Mrs Clinton takes her place once again behind the podium, she will also have to reassure the public that she has fully recovered and is fit to take on the most powerful role in the world. I advised her to stay home and rest for the next several days.

Bardack wrote that after Clinton's travel, which included numerous flights on her new campaign plane, her congestion worsened and she developed a cough, evidenced by a coughing attack during a campaign rally in OH on Labor Day.

Clinton released medical records in July of a year ago that contained some detail about her concussion in December 2012.

The letter says the illness stemmed from seasonal allergies that developed into an upper respiratory tract infection.

"It's great to be back on the campaign trail".

The statement was part of medical information Mrs Clinton's campaign released after her diagnosis last week.

Dr. Bardack said, "the remainder of her complete physical exam was normal and she is in excellent mental condition".

Half of the people surveyed said that Clinton's health won't influence their vote, but 25 percent said they're less likely to vote for Clinton because of her issues.

On Wednesday, Trump taped an episode with the reality TV star Dr. Oz in which the host reportedly went over the results of Trump's recent physical; the episode will air Thursday. She is set toresume her campaignon Thursday.
