Paul Hollywood to stay as a judge on Great British Bake Off?

"But they're at least listening to the proposition that Channel 4 are offering them, rather than just blindly ruling it out like Mel and Sue".

Although Mary has remained tight-lipped on her "Bake Off" future, her husband Paul Hunnings has hinted that she won't be keen on moving to Channel 4.

Although Mary has spoken out about the decision to move channels, she along with Paul have yet to comment on their future on the show.

Love Productions said negotiations with the BBC had been taking place for a full year, with a last-ditch meeting on Monday failing to result in a breakthrough.

Mary said recently: "The four of us, Mel, Sue, Paul and me, are a team".

The BBC is said to have offered Love Production £15 million per year to keep the show, but the company would not accept offers below £25 million. They're wonderful girls who made the show what it is.

On Tuesday, GBBO hosts Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins quit, confirming that they will not be making the jump.

And Channel 4, which reportedly paid £75million for a three-year contract, will be easily able to make back its investment with advertising sales, even if it only attracts a fraction of the show's current audience, according to media expert Toby Syfret. Channel 4 are desperate to get them on board now, despite yesterday thinking they could go on without them. We love it just as it is.

And the 81-year-old baking legend is no doubt heartbroken that the programme's co-hosts Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins have quit as the presenters following the news that the BBC has lost its rights to the show.

'They are offering them big money, more input into the show, the works.

Firstly news broke that the programme will be heading over to Channel 4 in a £75 million deal after the current series ends.

And would losing Mary and Paul be the last straw?

Channel 4 have already confirmed plans to air a celebrity "Bake Off" special in aid of Stand Up To Cancer next year, and it is thought they may have to wait until 2018 for a regular series due to a clause between the BBC and Love Productions.
