My court nominees will overturn Roe v Wade

Trump's running mate Mike Pence used a less graphic, same easy-to-debunk set of myths during the vice presidential debate earlier this month.

Clinton said she strongly supports constitutional right to a woman to make the most intimate, most hard, in many cases, decisions about her healthcare that one can imagine.

"We will have a Second Amendment which will be a very, very small replica of what we have now" if Clinton wins, Trump said.

Republican Donald Trump, who in the past was a supporter of abortion rights, now says he is not. It is important to appreciate that Trump's willingness to take a hard-line anti-abortion position, backed up by a hard-edged, specific pledge to appoint anti-abortion Justices to the Supreme Court, is essential to his appeal to conservative Christians.

Though Trump has praised the women's health provider, he has also said the government should stop providing it with federal funds for contraception and testing for sexually transmitted infections, because many Planned Parenthood affiliates provide abortion.

In the last presidential debate before the November 8 election, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump went at it over the Second Amendment as they were pressed on their views on the Supreme Court.

In response, Trump said he will be "appointing pro-life judges ... if they overturn it, it will go back to the individual states". "I think that's a point of pride and not an attack that she thinks it is".

"Well, first of all, I support the Second Amendment", Clinton replied.

But Clinton went even further saying that even with Roe v. Wade in place women's reproductive rights have been curtailed.

Trump also made comments about late-term abortion - claiming Clinton thinks it's okay to "rip the baby out of the womb in the ninth month" - that suggests he has no idea how abortion or childbirth actually works.

Trump is not describing an abortion procedure.

Trump said, "I think it's bad if you go with what Hillary is saying in the ninth month you can take the baby and rip the baby out of the womb of the mother just prior to the birth of the baby".

In her answer, Hillary Clinton did exactly what many advocates hoped she would.

"Unfortunately, dozens of toddlers injure themselves, even kill people with guns because, unfortunately, not everyone who has loaded guns in their homes takes appropriate precautions", she said. And because that wasn't the case when it came to outlawing so-called partial-birth abortions, she said, that's why she voted against that bill.

"The kinds of cases that fall at the end of pregnancy are often the most heartbreaking, painful decisions for families to make", Clinton said in the debate Wednesday night, adding that Trump was using "scare rhetoric".
