Ryan: Liberals favor a government-heavy agenda for elites

How Speaker Ryan has one set of standards for Donald Trump and another for Hillary and Bill Clinton is something he has not yet explained, and given his position in the Republican Party, needs to explain. Scott Walker will be out of state.

This speech functions as both the logical extension of the parallel political campaign Ryan has been running since it became clear that Trump would be the Republican nominee and a ramping-up of his efforts to regain control of the party in advance of what increasingly looks like a big-league loss by Trump.

The billionaire real estate mogul will be in Wisconsin on Monday to campaign in Green Bay and West Allis.

Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., said Ryan was under pressure from Republicans in deeply conservative districts where Trump is running strongly and from those from more moderate areas where the presidential candidate has struggled.

If Trump loses the November 8 presidential election to Democrat Hillary Clinton, his polarizing candidacy may reverberate well past 2016, tarring future Republican White House hopefuls, potentially including House Speaker Paul Ryan, U.S. Senator Marco Rubio and Indiana Governor Mike Pence, Trump's vice presidential running mate.

When pressed by the media on whether he would vote for Trump, Byrne said: "I'll vote for the straight Republican ticket". He previously accepted an invitation to be the keynote speaker at a GOPAC event in New Jersey to train Republican candidates for office. The question is: Who will be joining him? His state campaign spokesman Matt Schuck says the schedule is still being finalized. But Mr. Trump has engendered deep loyalties among core Republican voters, and dumping him carries a price - a price that Mr. Trump was happy to raise sky high. That same poll showed Johnson's Senate race with Democrat Russ Feingold to be about even. "Donald Trump is unfit to be president of the United States, and now we know that Ryan and Walker are supporting a candidate who lacks the basic human decency voters require in their commander in chief".

The escalating clash between Paul Ryan and Donald Trump is prompting warnings of retaliation against the speaker from rank-and-file House Republicans, suggesting a potential rebellion like the one that drove his predecessor into retirement and that could jeopardize his own hold on the post.

But Trump's offensive against Ryan, which began earlier in the week, isn't about "sinister" deals that exist only in the candidate's imagination. Of note, Trump would appear to have more support than traditional Republicans.

It's understandable why he feels the need to cut out on Trump as things are spiraling badly out of control as more women come forward, and the presidential nominee continues onward claiming that everything is one big fabrication.

The allegations against Trump and his countercharges dominated the campaign Thursday and have distracted attention from the release of thousands of hacked emails from Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta that include some potentially damaging information.

Ryan also moved onto a different subject, releasing a statement criticizing aides to Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton for hacked emails containing critical comments about Catholics. The speaker quickly jetted off Thursday after giving a speech to Wisconsin business leaders, not taking any questions despite advertising that the event would allow 30 minutes for questions.

There's no word yet on whether Republican Sen.
