Brad Pitt Releases Statement After Angelina Jolie Files For Divorce

Angelina Jolie has filed for divorce from Brad Pitt, her long-time partner and husband of two years, and basically all we know is that it happened.

Ms Wasser, known as the Disso Queen for her skill at dissolving marriages, is one of Hollywood's most famous lawyers and has represented A-list stars including Johnny Depp, Kim Kardashian, Stevie Wonder and Britney Spears.

The couple fell in love during the making of 2005's "Mr. & Mrs. Smith", when Brad Pitt was still married to Aniston.

"I'll tell my clients, "I have someone else, I can't say who, but you should really wait and file at the same time", she said.

Pitt and Jolie previously sued the News of the World successfully in 2010 over rumours that they were splitting.

The following month, photos surfaced of Pitt, Jolie and her adopted son Maddox together in Kenya. They were seldom-seen Hollywood royalty, their image predicated more on parenting than partying.

The two were together since, and have six children together.

Jolie Pitt, who became special envoy for the United Nations in 2012, became an outspoken voice for refugees, as well as for breast cancer treatment after undergoing a double mastectomy herself.

Pitt joined Jolie on some of her trips and started a foundation to finance reconstruction of homes in New Orleans after the city was flooded by Hurricane Katrina.

"They have been fighting for the previous year", the source added. It made a mere $538,000 at the box office domestically.

Us Weekly was first to report that there was serious tension between the couple.

"Brad and I have our issues, but if the characters were even remotely close to our problems we couldn't have made the film", she said. "You study it, you let it out, you attack each other and then you just want to hold each other and make sure you never behave that way". The film, about the 1970s Khmer Rouge regime, was shot in Cambodia.

Aniston filed for divorce in March 2005.

Jolie and Pitt also starred together the marital drama "By the Sea", a 2015 movie that she wrote and directed.
