The HBO fantasy drama has so far clocked up 35 wins over six series - picking up nine wins at last weekend's Creative Arts Emmys, which encompasses numerous technical awards - already making it the biggest-winning dramas series of all time.

Malek is also up against Oscar victor Kevin Spacey, who has never won an Emmy, in his role as manipulative President Frank Underwood in the Netflix Washington drama "House of Cards". With each passing year, TV's long-established incumbents cede more ground to tech-industry companies like Amazon and Netflix. The series was so successful that it was nearly immediately signed to a second season and lead actor Rami Malek was also nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama as well.
