How to Get Apple's New iPhone Software Update

Apple has added many new features with iOS 10.

Apple's biggest update to iOS is now available for existing devices. iOS 10 can be downloaded from the general part of the settings page on compatible iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad devices. Before, you would need to use this trick to hide default apps, but now Apple is letting you get rid of the ones you don't use, once and for all, without hassle.

Users will be able to type in different languages without having to change keyboards.

Music has been completely redesigned to make it simpler and easier to use.

The new iPhone 7, which along with the larger 7 Plus will go on sale in the United Kingdom on Friday, will come with the new software built in.

Comes with a new design and user interface: Apple says it has "redesigned the experience of the lock screen".

Facebook already has a very similar feature, but it'll be nice to have the same for your iPhone, unless you've still got some pics you'd rather just forget on there! That means, iOS 10 supports the iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone SE, iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus. To run iOS 10 you will need an iPhone 5 or later, any iPad Air or iPad Pro or the fourth-generation iPad, the iPad mini 2 or later, or the sixth-generation iPod touch.

If you haven't had the chance to install any of the Public Beta builds of iOS 10, we recommend taking a look at the screenshots below to get an idea of what's new because there are many cool features.

If you haven't heard, Apple has released iOS 10, and the update bricked some users' iPhones and iPads.

Siri is able to play music for you from either your own library or Apple Music, in the new iTunes.

One of the most frustrating aspects of all previous generation iOS software has been the lack of options to delete stock applications, especially when these are rarely used and take away considerable amount of memory space on your device. Alternatively, just wait and Apple will likely prompt you to update to iOS 10 via a Notification.

It is safe to assume a lot of people will be trying to download iOS 10 the day of its release.

The new iMessage Apps allow you to access your favorite apps while you are still texting.

When iOS 10 is available, you'll see an option to download and install it on this screen.
