Simultaneously, the security forces including army is moving quietly into South Kashmir, which has been the most politically sensitive area of the Valley and centre point of 2-month old agitation, to "re-claim" the lost ground from the agitators and bring some semblance of rule of law.

According to details, curfew in the area has still been imposed by the Indian forces on 65 day while pellet guns fires have been used on Kashmiris who were protesting against Indian brutality. One of the injured, identified as Ajaz Ahmed was referred to Srinagar for advanced treatment, they said. Reports said that clashes intensified in Anantnag after Dar's death.

A young man was killed Saturday when police and paramilitary soldiers tried to stop protesters from marching to a village in the Shopian district.
