Did Clinton Go Too Far With Comments On 'Deplorable' Trump Supporters?

Hillary Clinton expressed "regret" Saturday for comments in which she said "half" of Donald Trump's supporters are "deplorables", meaning people who are racist, sexist, homophobic or xenophobic, APA reports quoting CNN.

Republican Donald Trump is condemning Hillary Clinton's remark that half of his supporters could be put in a "basket of deplorables" and dismissing her admission she was wrong, saying the Democrat had committed "the worst mistake of the political season".

The Democratic presidential nominee sparked an uproar late Friday when she described Trump's supporters at a fundraiser. "Right? The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic - you name it", she said, triggering an avalanche of reactions from rivals and talk radio callers.

Clinton has sought to juxtapose her plans with those of Trump, who said Wednesday night that his plan to deal with the Islamic State is a secret and that he'll advise his generals to present a detailed strategy within 30 days of taking office.
