Chris Bosh says he's feeling 'great' and is 'ready to play' again

In an interview on the Open Run podcast for Bleacher Report's Uninterrupted(fast-forward to the 32-minute mark), Bosh declared himself ready to return for the Heat's training camp beginning on September 27.

"Absolutely (ready for training camp)", Bosh said on the Open Run podcast.

"I'm ready to play", Bosh said.

"We've been talking about it for a long time", Bosh said. "I'm ready. I've done all my work".

Bosh, who has been working out several times a week in Los Angeles, said: "I am in incredible shape, at least decent enough".

A couple of weeks ago, Heat owner Micky Arison tweeted that he was "looking forward" to seeing Bosh in training camp.

Bosh has been out since February.

Bosh has missed almost 70 games over the past two seasons after being diagnosed with blood clots.

"I know I've been gone for a moment, but now I'm back". Bosh reportedly told Heat that he was ready to play late last season, but the organization rejected the idea out of concern for his long-term well-being.

Asked in July if the Heat would consider bringing Bosh back under restrictions on travel or a limited workload, Riley said: "I think all those things will come in to play and there'll be a discussion".

Bosh hasn't been working out with the rest of the Miami Heat played in Florida this summer.

Of his plans for the series, Bosh said, "I'm not trying to be Scorsese or anything like that". "I have no reason to believe it's not".

National Basketball Association players Chris Bosh (L) and Stephen Curry attend the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Sports Awards 2016 at UCLA's Pauley Pavilion on July 14, 2016 in Westwood, California.

The Heat seem to be remaining quiet regarding Bosh's status for camp. Jackson added that barring a setback, it would be a surprise if Bosh isn't cleared to play. "I explained it to him".

That will be the first camp since 2003 to convene with Dwyane Wade, who left in free agency for a two-year deal with the Chicago Bulls, and the Heat maintain only tiny remnants of their championship roster anchored by Bosh, Wade and LeBron James. Bosh wouldn't necessarily be on this truncated schedule because of a proneness to injury, but due to the uncertainty about playing on blood thinners.
