Motorola's DROID Turbo 2 gets Marshmallow update

It seems that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update is finally released for the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 devices that are connected to Verizon. Google has released Marshmallow in October 2015 and Motorola was one of the first OEMs that got their hands on this update, and the flagships have received the firmware first, while the older devices and mid-range models were scheduled to be upgraded much later.

Motorola US has not officially announced the arrival of Marshmallow for the Moto G (2nd Generation) yet. Motorola did not say that it was a soak test, but everybody just assume that it is since not everybody received the update. So, when you will set it as internal storage, it will act as an exertion of the device's internal storage, allowing the users to install more games and applications, while there are already media files stored in there. The update will roll out over the air, which means that it will arrive in phases.

Some of the new features included in the update include Google Now on tap, doze mode, granular permissions, plus the January Android security update.

The 2nd generation Moto G released back in 2014 running the Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system. However, instead of the usual one OTA notification update, the industry follower mentioned that Verizon put up two updates for the Droid Turbo 2, and these two are required for a full Android 6.0 migration. It is actually quite common with Android upgrade rollouts to have some carriers receive the upgrade before others.
