Andre Miller to join Spurs for playoff run after Wolves buyout

Shams Charania of The Vertical reports that one-time Portland Trail Blazers point guard Andre Miller will sign with the San Antonio Spurs. With the Spurs' roster presently meeting its maximum number of players with 15, San Antonio will have to waive a player to make room for Miller.

Miller, 39, had been on a one-year veteran's minimum deal with the Timberwolves. He averaged 3.4 points and 2.2 assists in 10.8 minutes in 26 games for Minnesota prior to the buyout. The veteran guard played in 81 games last season with the Washington Wizards and Sacramento Kings. Miller may not play a lot in the playoffs, but he'll give them another steady hand to run the offense and throw lobs to Kawhi Leonard.
