Front man Kevin Parker has become accustomed to taking to the stage to collect awards - having picked up four at the ARIA's in November - and there was another one in store as they pocketed the coveted Brit for Best International Group.

Adele is hoping to put a glitch-marred Grammys performance behind her with triumph at British music's Brit Awards Wednesday. "You're all wonderful", Adele said collecting the award for best female, choosing the moment to pledge her support to USA singer Kesha, who is now embroiled in a high-profile lawsuit against songwriter/producer Dr. Luke.

In between sobs she added: "I don't know whether I'm crying over that video or the fact Tim Peake presented it. My son loves you". When she went back on stage to grab another award, she said, "Everyone's been wonderful so far..."

"This album was really hard to make, it was, and I think I was a nightmare sometimes so thank you, and thank you for our lovely son, who is the love of my life".

After joking that the audience is probably "fucking bored" of her, she teared up as she said, "I honestly can't tell you".
