Nile Rodgers defends Lady Gaga's Bowie tribute performance at the Grammys
It's a hot year for Gaga, who performed the national anthem last week at Super Bowl 50 and nabbed a Golden Globe for her role on American Horror Story: Hotel. Providing a melody of ten of his classic hits, but not everyone was impressed.
Gaga dyed her hair shock orange on the night to channel Bowie's alter ego Ziggy Stardust on the red carpet and on stage. The tribute was being pegged as one of the longer and larger segments of the evening's broadcast and would make use of groundbreaking technology in terms of live shows.
As news of singer-actress Lady Gaga sporting a David Bowie tattoo breaks the internet, her Grammy performance also gathered mixed reaction from Bowie fans and from his son, Duncan Jones.
The tweet is the formal definition of the word "gaga" and doesn't read too pretty if taken into the context of how Lady Gaga sang a collection of David's greatest hits including "Fashion" and "Suffragette City" yesterday.
