NFL’s case against Williams duo takes a hit
According to the Associated Press, Vikings DTs Kevin and Pat Williams will be free to play out the entirety of this season, thanks in part to a ruling today by Minnesota state judge Gary Larson. The NFL has appealed the ruling and is hopeful that the case will be heard by a federal court, where they are more likely to win a favorable decision.
The NFL is trying to suspend the players for testing positive last year for a banned diuretic that can be used to mask steroid use. Both players believe the positive test came after they began taking a weight loss supplement known as StarCaps.
