Seven countries - Slovakia, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Slovenia and Norway - are represented on the initial 16-man roster, but a few more could be coming.

The Swedes are stocked with a balanced mix of veterans and youth.

The World Cup will be played in Toronto from September 17 through October 1, and the Hawks will be well represented. Jagr, of course, is a special case, because he is 44 years old and already defying logic by remaining effective after all these years.
