The Chiron is powered by the same magnificent 8.0-litre quad-turbo W16 petrol engine which is expected to receive hybrid assistance. From the menacing face, to the the gorgeously arched c-pillar/air intakes, to the two-tone paint job - Bugatti has performed a masterful job with the Chiron. All that output is channeled to both axles through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox which enables the Chiron to achieve a maximum speed of 261 miles per hour (420 kph) that will be electronically limited. It accelerates from 0 to 100 kph [0-62 mph] in less than 2.5 seconds.

At an exclusive party in Geneva Monday night, Bugatti unveiled the Chiron ("sheer-on"), the 2.4 million euro ($2.61 million) successor to the Veyron. Even with that price tag, there are clearly enough super rich people in the world as a third of the production run has already been pre-ordered.
