According to defence sources, three AK47s have been recovered during search operation of Pampore encounter.

"The number of injured CRPF troopers has, however, risen to 13 after three more troopers got injured during the operation". At least one militant had entered the EDI complex while fleeing.

Meanwhile, the last rites of 10 Paramilitary Army Captain Pawan Kumar will be conducted with full military honours today at his village in Jind of Haryana.

The official said soon after the attack, the militants rushed towards nearby EDI building and took refuge in it amid heavy exchange of gunfire with CRPF's Road Opening Party (ROP).

The militants had attacked a bus carrying police reservists near Srinagar, before breaking into the training institute. "Since the EDI complex is a very big building which has lot of rooms, hence the operation took time to complete", he added.
