Leafs trade James Reimer to Sharks in 4-player deal

They have traded for Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender James Reimer and forward Jeremy Morin.

In return, the Maple Leafs received goalie Alex Stalock and forward Ben Smith.

The move is great for a rebuilding Toronto team, as the Maple Leafs now have, 28 picks in the next three drafts and 17 in the first four rounds.

Toronto acquired goalie Jonathan Bernier the following off-season and since then they have had a two-goalie tandem.

Cliven Bundy, called 'lawless and violent,' to stay in jail
Cliven Bundy and his sons have been indicted on federal charges and are being held without bond. Authorities said the other men were charged as leaders and organizers who conspired with Bundy.

This season, in 32 games with Toronto, he is 11-12-3 with a. 918 save percentage, and 2.49 GAA.

San Jose needed a reliable backup netminder as Alex Stalock has statistically been the worst goaltender in the National Hockey League this season with a save percentage well below.900.

Unlike previous trades this month, which saw the club accumulate four draft picks, this deal was made with the intention of getting a longer look at young goaltenders in the organization, specifically 22-year-old Garret Sparks and perhaps even 21-year-old Antoine Bibeau. "And the only way you get an opportunity is if there's a space available for that". Reimer and Stalock both are headed to unrestricted free agency this summer.

The draft choice is conditional based on how the Sharks do in the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Reimer went 19-8-5 that year with a. 924 save percentage in the regular season before posting a. 923 save percentage in a seven-game first-round series loss to Boston.

Apple calls court order 'unconstitutional,' asks judge to toss — Apple vs Federal Bureau of Investigation
Legal experts said it was unlikely that a judge would rely on constitutional arguments to make a decision in this early stage. In a statement responding to Apple's filing, the Justice Department said its approach to prosecuting crimes had not changed.

The Sharks receive an upgrade at the backup goaltender position in Reimer, who started 29 games this season for Toronto.

"We identified a little while ago things we'd like to add coming into this deadline, and I think we've accomplished majority so far", Wilson said.

Smith, 27, has also spent a majority of his season in the AHL.

Reimer, 27, becomes the latest veteran to leave Toronto in a trade, following defenseman and former captain Dion Phaneuf, defenseman Roman Polak and forwards Shawn Matthias and Nick Spaling.

Foxconn's £4bn Sharp takeover in danger
If the deal goes through, Sharp would become the first major Japanese electronics maker to be acquired by a foreign company. The deal's announcement caused Sharp stock to tumble as much as 15% at one point in Tokyo trade today.

Morin was acquired by the Leafs from Chicago in a swap that sent Richard Panik to the Blackhawks.
