The other shoe fell this morning in Kansas City, with the Chiefs choosing to dismiss defensive coordinator Clancy Pendergast, after their addition of Romeo Crennel became official.

The news of Pendergast’s firing was first reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Pendergast came to the Chiefs along with head coach Todd Haley last spring from Arizona, but quickly wore out his welcome with many fans after the Chiefs defense was thrashed early and often in the year.
