Whitner set to return this week

According to the Associated Press, Bills safety Donte Whitner feels ready to get back on the field, in spite of any lingering issues he may have with his right thumb, which he injured during Buffalo’s week three loss to New Orleans, and later had surgery to repair.

This is excellent news for a Bills team that has been reeling from injuries for most of the season, as Whitner is a force in their secondary and should help them play much better down the road if he stays healthy enough to be on the field. The Bills will be trying to rebound from a tough loss at home last week to the previously winless Cleveland Browns when they travel to New York to play the Jets on Sunday.
