Bob McManaman (Arizona Republic) dropped in today with a great quote by Texans head coach Gary Kubiak on Cardinals DT Darnell Dockett. I’m not sure if I agree completely with it, but I’ll let you be the judge…

“I tell you what, Dockett’s the best player I’ve seen on film this year. You know as a coach, every year you start studying teams and preparing for teams and he’s the best individual player I’ve seen. I mean he’s something for us to deal with coming this weekend.”

Dockett has been seeking a major pay raise since his dominant effort during Arizona’s surprising run to the Super Bowl last year, and while the Cardinals have been hesitant to hand out a big contract as of yet, there’s no doubt they’re going to have to do so soon if they want to keep Dockett in the fold.
