With the economy in the tank, many teams have been loathe to go through the process of finding a new head coach, unless of course that person is deserving of being let go.

Philadelphia is one team that won’t have to worry about that anytime soon, as they’ve reached an agreement on a new deal with their head coach Andy Reid, according to Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer. Reid is widely regarded as one of the better coaches in the league today, and Philadelphia rewarded him for that this morning with a three year extension to keep him with the Eagles until 2013 at the very least.

We’ll have more details on the actual contract numbers as that information becomes available, but for now it’s safe to say that whatever the cost, keeping Reid in Philly will be worth it in the long run.
