Bradley tears ACL in Eagles practice
According to Howard Eskin of 610 WIP (Philadelphia), Eagles MLB Stewart Bradley has torn his ACL and is expected to spend the entire season recovering from the injury (H/T to Pro Football Talk).
Bradley was a standout player for Philadelphia last season and the Eagles had big plans for him to become the established leader of their defense, especially after their longtime stalwart at safety, Brian Dawkins, left the club for a multi-year contract in Denver.
The Eagles will now likely turn to LB Omar Gaither to take Bradley’s place, but the drop off between the two could cause problems for Philadelphia’s defense, as Gaither does not possess the same kind of explosion and natural ability that Bradley displayed last year.
