Miami shuns move to get Coles
After the Jets surprisingly decided to release veteran receiver Laveranues Coles last week, the natural conclusion was that he’d be reunited with his former QB Chad Pennington in Miami.
Unfortunately for Coles, the Dolphins felt otherwise.
According to the Miami Herald, the Dolphins front office has passed along the word to Coles’ agent that they’re not interested in bringing the 31 year old WR in for a visit anytime soon. Miami has a need for a quality possession receiver, but apparently, Coles’ age and potential cost have driven away the Dolphins as a possible suitor.
Coles spent part of the weekend Buffalo, talking with the Bills staff, but it’s not known if an offer was presented to Coles or not.
