Tennessee has made it abundantly clear this off-season that their top priority was to re-sign their free agents and then focus on any additions they may need to make.

As of right now, they’re batting .500

After losing DT Albert Haynesworth to the Redskins via a monster contract, the Titans turned to QB Kerry Collins this afternoon, and have apparently convinced him to sign with the club, despite their differences in salary figures just a few days ago.

ESPN’s Michael Smith is reporting that Tennessee has reached a two year agreement with Collins, and should finalize the deal later on this evening. Terms have not yet been disclosed.

Collins filled in admirably after Vince Young went down in week one of last season, leading the Titans to an AFC best 13-3 record and home field advantage in the playoffs. Tennessee bowed out in the divisional round to the visiting Baltimore Ravens.
