They still have a ton of work to do if they want to erase the disaster of an 0-16 season from their collective minds, but Detroit did well today to bring RB Maurice Morris into the fold, as he is a solid player on and off the field.
According to Adam Schefter (NFL.com), Morris signed a three year deal with Detroit, worth $7 million.
Morris showed that he was a capable runner in Seattle after Shaun Alexander succombed to injury, and if given enough blocking he should be able to do some damage for the Lions next season.
