Quake will come if I speak in Parliament: Rahul Gandhi

Singhvi said the Prime Minister should come and speak over the demonetisation issue in parliament meaningfully rather then making speeches outside of it.

Desperation exposed Rahul Gandhi's remarks seem like an effort by the Congress vice president to pin the issue of stalled parliament proceedings on Modi and the BJP.

Gandhi said that when he gets a chance to speak about demonetisation in the House, the Prime Minister will not be able to even sit there. "When we said let's debate, the government ran away.I will talk about the scam carried out by Prime Minister NarendraModi". "From the first day itself, we have been saying that the government is open for a debate on demonetization. Can Congress explain?" said Naidu.

When a scribe asked him whether he felt that government is against him speaking in the Parliament, Rahul said, "They are not allowing me to speak".

The Union Textile Minister added that Parliament is a platform for discussion and deliberation, so Rahul is welcome to speak but the opposition should allow the house to run.

"Over Rs 9 crore is reportedly spent daily on running Parliament and Rahul Gandhi should count how much public money Congress has wasted by paralysing it since the beginning of the session on November 16".

Manmohan Singh reached Sonia Gandhi's residence to meet her. Advani walked up to her in the Lok Sabha and greeted her.

Responding to the Congress' claim of number of deaths taking place under the Bharatiya Janata Party's regime, Naidu said lakhs of farmers committed suicide in Maharashtra, Karnataka during the UPA regime. Around 86 per cent of the country's currency in circulation in the form of old Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes were withdrawn by the government. The spiking of the high value notes has led to a cash crunch across the country.

The Congress leader alleged that demonetisation is the biggest scam in the history of India.
