Titans snatch up Steve Hutchinson; Manning on the way?

In a move that is almost certain to foment even more speculation regarding the future home of Peyton Manning, the Titans have reportedly agreed on a three year deal with offensive guard Steve Hutchinson (Vikings).

Hutchinson is a close friend of Manning and was torn between going back to play in Seattle, his first team in the NFL, or signing in Tennessee.

The connection to Manning may or may not have played a part in Hutchinson’s decision, but given the serious tone of negotiations between the future Hall of Fame quarterback and the Titans as of late, it’s doubtful that the signing is purely coincidence.

Hutchinson is headed into year 12 of his career, with the first five being spent with the Seahawks and the six years after that with the Vikings.
