According to multiple sources, wide receiver Chad Ochocinco has landed with the Patriots today in a deal that will net the Bengals two late round draft picks. The move is likely to generate significant discussion throughout the league, especially among fantasy fans, so here’s a quick look at how the trade will affect Ochocinco’s fantasy value this year.

New England is a perfect spot for Ochocinco as far as a fantasy perspective is concerned, as he will not be allowed to run his non-stop mouth with the type of players the Patriots have in their locker room. He will be forced to shut up and play football.

Tom Brady made Deion Branch a viable fantasy option last year and anyone with eyes will know Ochocinco is a much more decorated player than Branch is. Ochocinco is now a safe lower tiered #1 receiver or a great #2. This will also help Wes Welker resume being a PPR monster.

Bottom Line: Go get yourself some Ochocinco in your draft!
