Contract extension on horizon for Letui

Once looked at as being a major disappointment, Arizona offensive tackle Deuce Letui has finally started to show signs of becoming the standout blocker the Cardinals thought he would be when they selected him 41st overall in the 2006 draft.

His elevated level of play has not only helped the Cardinals in protecting their quarterback, but it’s likely to place Letui in line for a major contract extension at some point in the near future, according to Dan Bickley of the Arizona Republic.

It’s expected that Arizona’s front office will want to see if Letui can keep going from here without a let down in between, but if he can keep his weight under control and stay focused on the field, a new deal will definitely be on the way.
