Mon @ 12:30 am – The prognosis on Johnson’s recovery timetable is much better than initially thought, and in spite of the severity of his injury, Johnson should be back to football activities in about 8-12 weeks according to Titans head coach Jeff Fisher.

Sun @ 12:15 am – For Tennessee running back Stafon Johnson, having a chance to earn a spot on an NFL roster was a dream come true, after he fought his way back from a horrific accident during his time at USC that cost him the entire 2009 campaign.

Johnson dropped a bench press bar stacked with weight onto his throat, crushing his larynx in an instant and almost killing himself in the process.

Unfortunately, that dream was once again cut short, after Johnson suffered another tough injury against the Seahawks tonight, this time a dislocated ankle, according to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.

Johnson left the field on the back of a cart, wearing an air cast on his leg, while his teammates and opponents alike knelt praying on the field.

The Titans had hopes that Johnson would find a home as a backup behind All-Pro running back Chris Johnson this season, but it’s doubtful at this point that he’ll be able to play much this season if at all, as the injury will likely take between 18 and 20 weeks to heal completely.

Tennessee will now turn to Javon Ringer (2nd year) and LeGarrette Blount (Rookie) to handle those duties. Ringer rushed for 48 yards on eight carries last season.
