Wilfork, Pats find common ground; ink major deal
We’re a bit late getting this one out, but here it is anyway…
According to multiple sources, New England has reached an agreement with franchised defensive tackle Vince Wilfork, and will lock the All-Pro down for the next five seasons at the very least. The deal is worth an estimated $40 million, with an $18 million signing bonus and $25 million overall guaranteed.
Wilfork is now the highest paid nose tackle in the league, and has the stability he was looking for prior to entering this off-season. We’ll have a lot more on this story a little bit later, so check back for that tonight.
