Washington to re-sign Rabach before free agency start

With the frenzy that’s sure to ensue once the free agency period begins tonight at 12:00 am EST, teams are scrambling to finalize contracts with their current players to keep them off the market.

According to NFL.com’s Jason LaCanfora, the Redskins are deep in negotiations with center Casey Rabach, and expect to reach an agreement sometime before midnight. Signing Rabach to a new deal has been a high priority for Washington this off-season, and while it seemed for a time that a contract would not be forthcoming, things are working out for both sides at the right time.
