Just a few hours removed from a deal with the Browns that will bring in defensive tackle Corey Williams, the Lions are making a major push to sign defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch to a free agent contract.

According to NFL.com’s Jason LaCanfora, head coach Jim Schwartz is at Vanden Bosch’s house, making a personal plea to his former pupil to come north to Detroit. A deal is not imminent as of yet, but given Schwartz’s relationship with the standout defensive end, it’s likely that an agreement is forthcoming.
