Mort Report – Cowboys Training Camp
ESPN’s Chris Mortenson dropped in today with his thoughts on the way things are going so far down in Dallas.
Apparently, the “Palace in Arlington” as I like to call it, is so amazing that video footage of it falls short of conveying it’s true wow factor. I may need to get down there if possible this year after all.
Here’s a snapshot of what he had to say about the Cowboys…
- The biggest difference for Dallas? “It’s all football. No distractions. Great chemistry.”
- QB Tony Romo is relaxed and ready to take his team to a new level this year
- WR Roy Williams won’t surprised anyone with speed, but he’s consistently catching everything thrown his way
- Look for a lot of two tight end sets this season, as the Cowboys are going to use Jason Witten and Martellus Bennett to create as many mismatches as possible, which bodes well for their offensive output
- Didn’t think it was possible, but RB Felix Jones is faster than he was last year
- Depth will be a major issue along the offensive line

What is the latest on the turf toe of Felix Jones? I know he was hobbling at practice yesterday , but they didn’t know if it was serious or not.
