Crabtree resorting to threats in dispute with Niners brass
2:55 pm – NFL Fanhouse is reporting that the 49ers front office and Crabtree’s agent have both refuted the earlier report that claimed Crabtree was prepared to re-enter the draft next year.
2:20 pm – According to Pro Football Talk, 49ers WR Michael Crabtree is fully prepared to sit out this season and re-enter the draft next year.
Crabtree is determined to be paid as though he was selected with one of the top three picks, and apparently he’s decided the pull out his ace card in hopes of getting his way.
That being said, neither side can afford to let his threat come to pass, as it would be a PR nightmare for both.
As always we’ll keep you up to date if any news comes out, but for now suffice it to say that things don’t look too good in San Fran these days.
