All-American WR Michael Crabtree has decided to forego the opportunity to run in front of scouts during his school’s Pro Day later this month, in favor of having surgery on his injured foot, according to the Associated Press.

Crabtree was slated to fully participate in Texas Tech’s Pro Day on March 26th, but given the questionable status of his injury, he made the decision today to take of the surgery first and worry about his draft stock later.

Prior to the injury being made public, there was talk among many scouts and draft pundits that Crabtree could be selected in the top three picks of the draft, but it’s doubtful that will be the case as of right now. Still, he should find his new home somewhere within the top ten selections, with Seattle, Oakland, and Jacksonville all possibly being in the mix for his services.
