• Police involved in the seizure of an unlawful weapon belonging to Bills RB Marshawn Lynch claim that the smell of marijuana in the vehicle caused them to initiate their search.

• Arizona LBs coach Bill Davis has been promoted to the position of defensive coordinator with the team, replacing former DC Clancy Pendergast, who is now a defensive coach in Kansas City.

• Tennessee has come to terms with kicker Rob Bironas, agreeing in principle to a four year deal worth $12 million

• The Raiders made punter Shane Lechler the highest paid player at his position yesterday, with a four year, $12 million dollar contract.
