McDaniels at the top in Denver
The Broncos have finished the last of seven interviews with potential head coaches, the team has narrowed the list considerably and will start discussions with the finalists for the position this week, according to ESPN.
New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels was the first candidate to be asked back for a second interview, and is seen as the clubhouse leader in the race to become Denver’s new head coach for the time being.
The Broncos will likely rely heavily on the opinions of multiple veterans within the organization, and given McDaniels championship-caliber resume, the team should embrace him as the head coach if that is the direction Denver owner Pat Bowlen chooses to go.
